Yogi Stan Byrd, 39, of Taylorsville passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his residence. Born September 18, 1970 in Rome, he was the son of Howard E. Byrd and the late Frances Lucille Williams Byrd. Yogi enjoyed listing to music and watching wrestling.
Survivors include his father, Howard Byrd of Taylorsville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Brooks and Darlene Byrd of Euharlee, Frankie and Carol Byrd of Taylorsville, Chuck and Kim Byrd of Cartersville, and Walter and Sandra Byrd of Kingston; his sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and Ronny Blackmon of Rockmart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2009 in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to the service.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120 is in charge of the arrangements.
