Mrs. Zuma Lucile Isham Wallace, age 97, of Crosscreek Drive Rome, GA died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at her residence.



Mrs. Wallace was born in Floyd County, GA, on April 5, 1912, the daughter of the late Romie Dolphus Isham and Henrietta Headrick Isham. She lived most of her life in the Rome area except for twenty years in Atlanta. In addition to her parents Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Hesler James Wallace.



Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Wallace Boyd of Rome and Sara Wallace Hann of Woodstock, GA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Pat Wallace of Powder Springs, GA, Bob and Jeannette Wallace of Winder, GA, and J.D. Wallace of Rome; sister-in-law, Beatrice Isham of Rome; brother-in-law, James Wallace of Rex, GA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.



The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral home.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel on Saturday by 1:30 P.M.: Johnnie Agan, Harold Isham, Brian Conway, William Humphries, Dan Kraegel, and Levi Self. The honorary pallbearer will be Mayon Johnson.
