Obituary for Marvin Lee

Mr. Marvin Lee, 73, of Cartersville, died, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center following a lingering illness.
Born in Bartow County on September 15, 1942, he was the son of the late William Virgil Lee and Mzillie Cothran Lee. Marvin was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church, was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force and was the retired owner- operator of Marvin Lee & Sons Grading. He enjoyed doing yard work, tinkering with things and watching his granddaughters play softball. He was a faithful customer of the “Waffle House”. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Leroy Lee.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Susan White Lee of Cartersville; his sons, Bo Lee and wife, Sherry, Randy Lee and Shane Lee; his grandchildren, Joseph, Hannah, Rachael and Easton Lee; his brothers, Calvin Lee and wife, Rosa, Earl Lee and wife, Peggy and C.H. Lee and wife, Linda; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lee and Andrea Lee; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Jerome Black officiating. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery in Temple, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
