Charles Milton  Ray
Mr. Charles Milton Ray, age 74, of Dalton, formerly of Cartersville, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center. Born in Cartersville on August 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Willie Ray and Tamar Wilson Ray.

Mr. Ray enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, fishing, car trading and going to turkey shoots. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children, Milton Ray, Jr and Timothy Ray; and his sister, Hazel Lanham.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Alma Ray; his children, Thomas Ray, Wanda Buttrum, Tina Ray, Johnny Ray, Michael Ray and Daniel Ray Crosswhite; 30 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Sarah Hicks, Frankie Moore, Willie Ray, Jr. and Mickey Ray.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Randy Stokes and Ronald Stiles officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
