Obituary for Brian Gene Autrey

Mr. Brian Gene Autrey, 40, of Talking Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Redmond Regional Hospital.
Born in Bartow County on August 7, 1974, he was the son of Gene Albert Autrey and Wanda Jean Pope Fisher. Brian enjoyed life and loved God. He loved his girls very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Brian also enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing and hunting. Preceding him in death is his sister, Karen D. Autrey; his grandfather, Eugene L. Pope; his aunt, Linda D. Autrey; and his step-mother, Jackie Autrey.
Survivors include his daughters, Courtney Autrey and Caleigh Autrey both of Cartersville, and Jordan Autrey of Talking Rock; his father, Gene Autrey of Cartersville; his mother, Wanda and Danny Fisher of Talking Rock; his grandmother, Mozelle Pope of Talking Rock; his grandparents, Nathan and Ruby Autrey of Cartersville; his two sisters, Casandra Abernathy of Calhoun and Tera and Calvin Brooks of Cartersville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Creekside Fellowship Church with Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Pope, Michael Pope, Ronald Pope, Joe Harrison, Douglas Fisher and Clay Smalley. Israel Dover, Darrell Pope and Danny Hite will serve as honorary pallbearers.
